Simone Haack

The realistic paintings and drawings of Simone Haack show mainly faces, sleeping people, vague dreamlike sceneries and landscapes.During the p.art.ners scholarship for Berlin artists, which went from March until May 2009, Simone Haack lived and worked at the Namibian Farm Pepperkorrel.

Kaleb Haipinge

Kaleb Haipinge is an art teacher by proffession specializing in printing making (e.g. cardboardprint and lino) but also working in different media like painting with acrylic, pencil drawing, mixed media and pastel drawing. Kaleb lives and works in Windhoek (Namibia). He participated in the residency programme of p.art.ners in Berlin from January to March 2009.

Cristina Salvoldi

Cristina Salvoldi works in the film and theatre industry of South Africa. Cristina’s love for the classical arts has followed her throughout her life. She finds inspiration in the detail and in the perfection of nature. Sculpture is her preferred medium. Cristina’s art serves first and foremost an aesthetic purpose as she believes that beautiful and humorous art acts can be a balm to the human soul.

Jost Kirsten

Jost Kirsten is an established artist from Swakopmund, Namibia. His works consist mainly of natural materials that have been subjected to direct flame. Instead of using charcoal on paper and canvas, he prefers the char marks left behind by burning. Destructive associations with fire are subverted into works of high aesthetic beauty. Even his wooden sculptures are touched by fire that seems to speak more of fundamental beginnings than end. Jost took part in the residency programme and spent a year living and working in the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin.

Kleopas Nghikefelwa

Kleopas Nghikefelwa works and lives in Okongo, Namibia. Participant of the residency programme of p.art.ners from September 2008 until January 2009.
