Background of the project:

The non-profit organisation p.art.ners berlin-windhoek gGmbH was founded in 2007 by Namibian artist Imke Rust and Berlin parliamentarian Oliver Schruoffeneger, in a private initiative to promote art and culture through the 'shared experiences’ program. The 'shared experiences’ projects aim to enhance the city partnership between Berlin and Windhoek with cultural offerings and promote artists through exchange and exposure. In close collaboration with Namibian and Berlin artists we conceptualise and present projects from different cultural genres, such as visual arts, music, theatre, film and dance. More...
